When my shoulder wasn’t responding, my physical therapist put on their thinking cap and their training, as well as consulting others to try to find other options to get my shoulder to respond so I could possibly avoid the shot. I didn’t want to get it. I thought that was awesome to be concerned with finding options to accommodate the patient’s wishes. I did have to get a cortisone shot and the staff was more knowledgeable about my limitations than what my doctor and his staff informed me about.”
